In DataDynamic Reporter you can save your table output, allowing you to re-run the tables in the future. The tables are saved in a specific DataDynamic output format: .ddo file. Because the .ddo file format saves the definitions of your tables (and not the tables themselves), any changes in the file will automatically be incorporated in the tables when they are rerun. To save table output, in the Scrapbook/Workbook views, click on 'Save DDO' icon in the Output list toolbar.

You will be asked to name the output file, then save the file. Every time you make changes in your output, DataDynamic will ask you if you want to save the output file before closing it.

You can follow the steps described above by checking the video on our Youtube channel:

+ Video starts with an already created set of tables, in this case one table.

+ Then another table is created with the aim to save the entire table set (output) as a .ddo file.

+ To do this, select all the tables from the list and click on ‘Save DDO’ button.

+ A pop-up window appear with the current .ddo file name already highlited, so that clicking on ‘Save’ will open another pop-up window asking if you like to:

+‘Append’ the current selection to the previous one (OK button). In this case the output would be of 3 tables, the first already present in the file and the current 2 tables selected. Is not the one to choose, cause the final file will have 3 tables 2 of which are the same

+‘Ignore’, will just overwrite the current selection (2 tables) to the previous one (1 table), ending up to a file with only the current selection. This is the chosen one and most used command when saving .ddo files.
